Torque converter failure or worse?
Background info. Truck is a 2007 Silverado classic rcsb 5.3/4L60e fbo and street tuned.
2 months/900 miles ago I had my trans rebuilt w/ a 3-3200 stall converter. A new trucool 40k was also installed.
Last night on the way home she was driving fine until I had to stop for a light. When I took my foot off the brake I didn’t roll forward and I had to push the pedal way more than usual to start accelerating. I pulled over immediately and checked my fluid level and it was a little low but not below the minimum. I topped it off but didn’t help at all. Once I got back on the road I managed to get it up to 50mph where the converter would normally lockup and it didn’t. I limped it the rest of the way home and did a little homework. I’m thinking the converter is no good but wanted outside opinions before I call the shop. Trans temp was about 140° when this started

id say the converter is no good. just had the same issue. I ran mine with about a quarter less fluid for a week due to the converter wearing out. noticed bell housing leak turns out whole transmission fried due to converter failure. id suggest to take it to a shop to get it checked out and change converter if that's the issue. some shops rebuild converters as well so look at that. transmission fluid shouldn't be low to begin with.
