I love the looks of 20s but it’s actually a downgrade performance wise, which is why I’m sticking with stock.

I seriously doubt 20" rims make a noticeable difference in performance. Maybe on a drag truck. Almost all trucks come stock with 20" rims now days

oh it definitely makes a difference in 0-60 and quarter mile times. That’s backed by lots of evidence. It’s rotational mass. You probably didn’t feel a difference but the numbers don’t lie.

before i got hooked up with my 20s, i was looking at performance tires for my 16s and found nothing that i liked or worked. Those are like 16x7 or so, so very small rims. Since i needed tires, buddy of mine gave me his stock 17s alloys and found all kinds performance tires, i went with Hankook Venus Rh06 STs, found them for 500 mounted and balanced. They worked great, still never get any traction in rain but who does?

I know you can find those 17s and even 18s cheap on a local sight. I find them all the time with decent tires for like 100-200 bucks. Felt no difference in straight line performance

Lmao did you know i picked up .8 mph going from 17s to 20s in my 1/4 mile times.. I'd check where you get your info from. Smaller tires give you the get up and go out of the hole but lack in the higher speed ranges vs the larger tire, yes take more torque to move it but once its moving it is moving.

17s will allow you to swap 13in rotors and larger calipers from 05+ silverados.

you talking wheel size or overall tire height? sounds like the latter, which can typically be had with various wheel sizes.

true that... and with a little more work, the 4-piston rear disk setup from a tahoe/burb would be a nice upgrade, too.
