Default TA performance rear cover ??

My TA differential is leaking from the load bolts. Has anybody had this happen? What do I need to do different?

If it was mine, here is what I'd do.

Get a tube of teflon pipe thread sealant. Back the lock-nuts way off on each side, then back the studs out several threads, about 3/8" or so. Clean everything up with some brake-kleen, blow it dry with some air from your compressor.

Apply a nice little bead of the PTS to the stud, screw it back in until it hits the bearing cap. Torque to spec, and then torque the jam nut.

It won't leak anymore. Be sure to check/top off the fluid if it's low.

Afterthought..... Are you overfilling your rear differential? Are you filling the fluid to the stock fill plug level, or to the level of the plug on the new TA diff cover?

I am out of town so I can't crawl under my truck to look. Does it have lock washers on the girdle studs, or are they flat washers? If they were lock washers, I would swap them for flats.
