T-56 swap

I have a RCSB silvy with the 4.8 and the nv3500 5 speed tranny and i am saving for the6.0 and wanting to put a t-56 behind it but i was wondering how much trouble is the tranny swap. what kind of parts will i need? like flywheel ,driveshaft ,tranny crossmember. any advice will be great thanks guys.

would putting an automatic behind the 6.0 be any better than the t56?

As soon as I get my motor shipped here, and some time away from the newborn, I will let you know.

I think the only hard part about putting the automatic is getting all of the electronic stuff to work. As far and it going in it is not that hard. For a 56 you would need a flywheel, clutch and slave. Your master clutch, your crossmember should work (pretty sure that it does), shorten the drive shaft and I think that is it. Oh and a 56 of a 98 LS1

I think if you run an auto you should get a very good built one. I would do a 56 since you are already manual.

I see you siad 98 ls1 is there a reason for that or can it be any ls1 t56? The T56 is the six speed right? thats for yalls help
