The Hellwig setup is what I have been saving up for. They have an adjustable rear bar setup. I don't know if anyone else offers that.

Sorry, no pictures to share of the installation. Be pleased take some in situ if they’ll help.

Found a DIY thread prior to purchase. Didn't mention the requisite shock bracket modification for later trucks.
Taken the liberty of uploading that addendum for reference.

Overall fabrication quality and hardware fitment is excellent. No long term durability testing yet completed though.
Broke a U-bolt (on a rock while off-roading) on my former ’92 Sierra.
Called Hellwig and they shipped a gratis replacement with no questions asked or proof of purchase shenanigans.
They’re straight shooters.

seems most every thread I get a notification for now has a good Bud discussion going on!
guess he shall live on in more ways than one.

I don't see how it should effect your brake lines? Mine remained unchanged and unaffected, but then again I'm not 100% sure the differences between the addco and hotchkis.

I was curious on this as well, would have loved to hear his feedback.

rip.

Well this answers some of my questions. I wonder why it did not show up in searches.

Splinter, any picks the front after?

Thanks

Took a few pics of Hellwig’s 7685 in the garage just tonight.
It’s a straightforward replacement of our hollow OE bar. Its 4130 1-1/2” OD and heavy-duty bushings substantially increases roll stiffness though.

Suggest renewing end-links concurrently if you’ve accumulated some mileage, as they’re prone to premature wear.

Frequently visit friends near Weir Canyon if you’d like to drive ‘em. Alternatively, I’m in Hermosa Beach when next you’re out this way.

Bumping this.

Anyone lowered 6" in the rear and have a sway bar? What did you use? I was looking at the Hellwig 7634 bar but I don't know if it will work for me.

It sure was strange to see a thread near the top by this OP.

I would think that a 6" drop would be ok. You may want to build/buy blocks to drop the frame mounts down so the bar is more level.
