sway bars???????

I have a 2008 silverado 1500 2wd base model. And I looked and didn't see a rear sway bar. The front has one and it looks easy to upgrade! Is there a way for me to Get a sway bar on thr rear? An how would a sway bar affect drag racing?

Ummm........I may be wrong, but a sway bar means jack in the 1/4. Just looking at the name suggests that they help with body roll in the corners. If I were you, unless you race auto cross, I'd just use that money for better shocks and springs. At least those are known to affect the performance of your vehicle.

Not sure about track handling, guessing it would help with frame twist and squat but yes you can add one to the rear for about $275:

Hellwig 7800
DJM
Belltech
Addco
Hotchkiss

I'm going to add a rear bar and upgrade the bushings and end links on my factory Z60 bar (36mm or 1.42"). The Hellwig looks like a good fit but I haven't made up my mind.

Well I'm not getting it for drag racing only, I want it for the body role just wanted to know if it would affect my 1/4 mile times at all. Leevon where can I find those rear kits?

I have the Hellwig bars on my '08 ex cab. 7685 front and 7800 rear. Got mine from suspensionconnection dot com, about $200 for the front and $275 for the rear. The rear bar made a huge difference in the handling. The front, added later, didn't make as big a difference as I thought it would, although it's a solid 1 1/2" vs a hollow 1 1/4".
