Default Strange 1350 series yoke.

So in the process of my 4l80e 2wd swap and this is one thing I’m addressing for the build but, Question for you guys is in this photo with the strange 1350 yoke installed I was told from strange engineering to just use the factory pinion seal type only but with this tq down and preload set it’s not sealing and it’s still leaking fluid. Would anyone happen to know what seal needs to be used for the 8.5 10bolt using a strange 1350 yoke?

That seal probally needs that shield to seal properly. Otherwise you probally need an earlier type seal.

Well Gm list some different ones. My guess is you need a 1st design and that you are getting the 2nd design.

26033578 1st Design (1-PC PINION SEAL(NON TRIPLE-LIP)
26064028 2nd Design (2 PIECE PINION SEAL)(TRIPLE LIP)

You need a seal for an 8.5" 10 bolt, our trucks have an 8.6" 10 bolt. The OD of the seal is the same, but the ID it seals to is different.

I ran into this when I went to the 1350 yoke on my truck. Go to any parts store and get a pinion seal for a 1995 Impala SS and you'll be good to go.

According to GM, that is the 26033578 1st design

But also shows it may have the 2nd design too and to confirm the seal and yoke style when ordering.
