Not really. Most of them have new enough data in them for truck that's 5 years old. But you will need a Candi module because of the CAN system on the 07NNBS. At least the data doesn't time out. On the MDI you have to have an active subscription to use it. The data will time out after like 7 days.

I've trigged the ABS a half dozen times on dry surface streets today (no one was behind me). It's pretty easy with the 14" rotors and dual pistons in the rear. The pedal already feels a bit firmer. I will still probably just have the dealer do the auto bleed next week. I may also bench bleed the master before the auto bleed.

Also in for any follow up information. My fathers complains about his mushy brake pedal on his 2000 Silverado. We've tried everything we heard of until reading this thread. Now I'm wondering if the lack of a proper abs bleed is the culprit.

ive done more research and talked with car buddies. They said check the rear sliders. Sure enough that was it. We got brand new rotors and pads. took apart the sliders for cleaning and greasing. put it all back together and bleed the system again. The pedal is at the top, this was a 2011 F250.
Now i just need to do my truck. Ive never serviced my rear drums. The E brake works great and locks both tires up fine.
