Default safe to race

truck should almost be ready should. is it safe to race after the eaton posi unit and 4:10 install or should i wait and put some miles on the unit and break it in first.

You are referring to the rear end? You are going to get different answers.

I was told to keep it under 50mph for the first 50 miles. Drive 15 minutes with cool down between for 500 miles. Easy for me, I work 15 minutes from home on city streets.
Others will tell you drive it like you want but the swap cost me near $1000 (4x4) so I went with the mechanics reccomendation.

What gear ratio did you go with, and a posi?

yea...you need to go thru some heat cycles to break in the gear....run it for 10-15 miles and let it cool off as many times as you can since i know you want to get on it very soon....
