Default Rear shock relocation

So I finally got my shocks relocated. I went with viking shocks but I had originally purchased strange shocks. The strange shocks ended up being way to long as I had measured for them to be mounted on the stock shock mounts, but after trying to install them I realized they werent going to work unless I relocated the mounts. Once we did that we realized they were to long so had to order new ones but I switched to viking simply because they were double adjustable for around the same price. My truck is pretty low and I wanted to keep the ride height the same, and Reklez suspension works here in Pearland Tx. who did all the work did a great job of keeping it that way. They also welded a underbed knotch in the frame to help with clearance with my 8in drop in the back. Here are a couple of pics of the setup. I already had the traction bars on there so hopefully it should help with puttin power down to the street. Its a slow project Ive been workin on for years. Ive had the truck since I was 18 back in 2008 and I was the second owner. Bought it with 9000 miles on the clock and bone stock everything. I took some shortcuts along the way when I was younger and broke lol so now im trying to go back fix some of those and do it the right way. So im starting with the suspension and rear end. Next im probably gonna take her to Pyle Bros here in Baytown to get a eaton posi or truetrac still debating on what to get. Then I can start working on the engine. Anyway here are the pics of the new shocks. Oh and thanks to walledition for helping me out with this, real cool guy answered all my questions on how to get this done.

With parts and labor it cost me around 650. The shocks were the most expensive thing at 370 shipped.

Whats up man!!! Nice to meet another shortbed lol man I threw everything and anything I could to get it this low lol but it rides pretty shitty and im on the verge of getting a coil over swap to get rid of these shitty torsion bars. I got 4in. LCA, 2in. Spindles and 2in. Torsion keys and calmax drop shocks

That's exactly why I asked is because I plan to do coil overs with 2" drop spindles, and I wanted some measurements from your truck but since you have LCAs it wouldn't work

How much extension can you get out of that shock from ride height? Thats a tonof compression which makes me wonder if the shock is nearly topped out. Looks like the shop did a great job

at ride height the shocks sit at 12.25-12.50in. and the shock bottoms out at 10.48in. and tops out at 15.13in. Plus I can move the mount up or down if need 2 but that wont be until I actually start making some real power and test it out. Right now its just a stock 5.3 on a little 200 shot lol
