It is recommended to not use synthetic oil with the TruTrac and instead use conventional dino oil.

I am using lucas 85-140 in my tru trac. Prob should change it out, but it looks to good.. :D
|
Yea i saw the lucas one but now might just go with the valvoline..its way cheaper and well trutrac doesnt seem to want the synthetic so y not go the cheap route... i guess u spend alot on one thing that u get to spend less on the other..lol

i just used the cheapest gear oil i could find thats not reused stuff they sell.. 220k miles on the rear end and no problems. :D

I called Eaton and they Say that it is fine to run synthetic. They said that in the early years they had some complaints of them being just noisy if Synthetic oil was ran but they figured it was CHEAP synthetic oil and that tru trac's are being use in Vipers and Corvettes with synthetic oil with no problems. I told them I am running Ams-oil, and the tech thought it should be fine.
