Default rear end off center

The rear in my truck is off center by 1/2'' to the passenger side noticed it a while back but with the 6'' drop in the rear it is super noticiable now and hits the bed when i get on it.The only way i see to fix it is cut the perches off the rear move them and reweld. I cant beleive gm would send a rear out like this but i just dont see anywhere else to make up the difference. Its a 99 rcsb by the way with a 4/6 drop.

Thats what im goin to try this evening but not sure how much i will be able to move it. I have a rear out of an 05 and mesuring from the spring perch to the housing end it mesures the same as the rear in my truck. May even try to open up the location pin holes up some with a die grinder and see what i get out of it that way. If its 1/2 off i only need to move it a 1/4 to center it up doesnt sounf like mutch but you can really see it if compare the two sides.

You wont be able to move it at all since the pins in the spring pack locate the axle.

Are you measuring between the wheel and frame? Or between the tire and fender?

It could be that the axle is fine, and instead your bed isn't bolted down "centered". If you loosen the bed bolts, there's alot of adjustment there.

It was on a 4 post lift so it was mesured with the weight on the tires. I mesured it from the under side frame to wheel. I have already adjusted the bead over as much as i could it helped a little with the look but i know it still is dimensionally off.
