Default Question on going with 22" wheels 2008 GMC Sierra

I am looking at going with 22-inch wheels for my 2008 Sierra Ext cab and I have a couple of questions. At the moment the truck has stock suspension but I plan to do at least a 4/6 drop and add larger disc brakes all the way around. How wide of a wheel can I go with? Most of the stock replacement wheels are maximum 9" wide. I'd like to maybe go with a 22x10 wheel in the rear (and maybe the front) as this will be a street truck and hopped up a bit.

My other question is which disc brake setup would be good for this application? I plan to add larger rotors because I hate looking through a large wheel and seeing dinky little rotors and calipers. I know Bear and Wilwood make some good kits but I wanted to bounce it off of you guys to see what you have used and comments for good/bad. Pics welcome!

Here is a pic of the truck and the wheel I am looking at.

I used the Baer 15" rotor upgrade with the factory calipers on mine. Still stops better and fills out the wheels nicely. They make a 14" setup for the rear that I will go to eventually. I have 22x8.5's up front, 22x10's on the rear, but you can run 22x9'.5's all the way around to be able to rotate tires.

Hey thanks for the input. I see Raybestos has a nice setup as well. I really do not see guys running around with 10-inch wide wheels in the front but I could be mistaken. I just want to make sure i have the clearance with the new wheel/tire combo. I think going with the same size wheel all the way around is a good idea.
