Question on front suspension for drag truck

I am currently in the process of building my 00' Chevy 1500 RCSB 6.0. I have lightened the truck some and am getting prepared to build the suspension. The rear is going to be a 9" with ladder bars and coil overs. I need advice on the front. Cut springs with shocks? Coil overs are preferred but I can't afford that much for a while. I need at least a 4" drop up front and still have decent weight transfer. I will be running 15" rims on all four corners with 30" or 31" tires in the rear and 27" skinny's up front. Any thoughts before I start cutting springs? Keep in mind that this will be a mostly strip truck. What combo's are working best? Thanks

I would do control arms so you can lay the caster back to improve strait line-ability.
Another nice benefit is the use of stock length shocks so you can have a better choice of the shocks.

How serious do you want to go. These are 700 bucks. With these and lowering spindles should sit around 4 inch drop up front. Coilovers for NBS Silverados

That's what Im doing down the road.

If I go with drop spindles, won't that prevent me from going with 15's up front? On the other hand, the 15's I will be running will be skinny's with adapters. I guess that should push the rim far enough away from the spindle that it shouldn't matter….correct?

I'm running 15's with a belltech 2" drop spindle, 2" springs and some single adjustable QA1's..
