First I’ve heard of it.

I put down 847 with my Vigilante equipped 4l60e UNLOCKED, and we ran a calculated slip thing on the dyno and it was 8-9% slip. (thats what its supposed to be at) I think the converter works well, I don't know your power levels, but I will say the Single disc Vigilante will hold some power. I believe you will Break the input shaft in short order. The 4l60e wont last long in high weight/high power anyways. Ask me how I know.

FYI, I hope they get your stall speed where you want it, they did mine twice and still couldn't get it right. Still too tight. I wanted 2800 -3000, and with 4wd, and hydroboost brakes it was a miracle to get 2600 out of it. FML. Good luck!

I made 630/630 on the dyno. I also asked for 3000 stall so i hope its close. 2600 is a big difference. Hows it drive light to light and cruising around. I heard the lock up is firm and i like that.

A firm lockup is one thing. Overly firm and it will break the input sprag (ex. 100/99 or 100/90 as your TCC apply settings). Doesn't matter who built it or what they put in it.

Ask me how I know.

PI is definitely a quality product IMO. My 07 had a PI 10.5 PI multi. I wasn't pushing much power @ ~ 7lbs so it would only do 2600 or so. They gladly took it back and sent me a 9.5 multi. It would then flash to ~3k however it was fairly lazy for a DD I guess bc of being a 9.5. That's the one I ran mid 7's with the rear mount @ 8.5 lbs on 20's. So... I ended up having it tightened up to ~ 2500 and liked it much better. I think you made a good choice with the 10.5 though. Still have mine in storage for someday...

It drove like a stock truck, i hated it. My current turbo spooled like poo with it. Mine was Just too tight of a converter. Lock up feel (single disc) was quick and firm, I had my Converter settings @ max pressures, no issues. I could barely brake boost it to 2600 in 4wd with hydroboost brakes.

I had the LT style converter not the LS. Not that it matters for comparison.

Nope, been running those settings on a dozen transmissions for years with no issues.

I'll be glad to link the thread. Not saying it happens to everyone and I'm sure not everyone's transmissions are built identically but it's happened to me 2x now.

The only other thing that breaks is the brittle overrun hub.

It's got all the major and popular parts except the Sonnax Smart-tech input housing kit.

I'm rolling with stock pressures and min TCC apply settings. If it comes out again, I'm putting an 80e in it.

I'm about to finish week #3 since I put it back and I've been pretty hard on it. X's fingers .

I always stuffing my nose in **** like this. A long time ago I ran a 3 disc precision vigilante and used to lock that bitch at wot in 3rd gear around 105 mph. Never broke anything, but I was running a level 3 or 4 4l80e from FLT at the time.

I also did several hwy pulls keeping it locked on the 3/4 shift.
