Default noise after vette servo install

I get a squeak noise when shifting into second. Its not the tires chirping i know for sure. Its a 02 tahoe 5.3 w/cai and magnaflow exhaust. Thats the only performance thing I've done to it. TIA!

Welcome to the site! Could be a serpentine belt squeal. In my truck I know if I really hammer it I get one here and there. I have also heard this complaint when a shift kit is installed. Vince

X2 what Vince said. I put a Corvette servo and .490 boost valve in my mom's Trailblazer and it had serp. belt squeal on a WOT 1-2 shift.

Thanks for the welcome and quick post. Is it anything to be cautious about or is there a way to tighten the belt so it doesn't squeak? I read somewhere were a guy on here replaced the belt and it still did it.

If just replacing the belt doesn't do the trick, Katech offers an adjustable stationary tensioner that may help. I have one and it works great, even though all that I actually needed was a new belt to fix my belt squeal (which was occurring when my Circle-D multi-disc went into lockup )
