Front struts under LCA?
I saw another thread in which someone mentioned installing the front struts with the lower mount UNDER the front LCA's in order to lower the front end. Is this safe? Anyone running their front struts (on a 2wd truck) like this? Seems like a cheap way to lower the front end (though it will require an alignment); but in that confuguration, all the weight would be carried by 2 bolt heads on each side. That seems like a bad idea to me.

People do it, but I don't like it either. Most tend to buy grade 8 bolts that will handle far more stress.
I did coil relocators that move the spring perch down on the factory strut up to 2in. Of course this requires a spring compressor to remove the top hat and everything else. Or just buy lowering struts and swap over your factory coil.
