NEWB question: Transmission

Do i have a version of the 4L-65E and if not, what is my transmission; also, what are the drive ratios in each gear? The truck is whats listed below. Thanx, sorry about the stupid question :eyes: but you gotta learn sometime.

You would have the 4L80E, a very durable transmission. You can get the gear ratios from here...http://www.tciauto.com/tech_info/gear_ratios.htm

WOW! I did not realize i had the 4l-80E! Does that come on all the 6.0 and 8.1 4x4's and 2x4's that come with automatic transmissions? What does the 04 1500HD 2x4 with 6.0 and 3.73 rear end have?

That also is the 4l80e... The 8.1 comes w/ the allison in the trucks.. but the 4l85e in the suburban... basicly a beefed up 4l80e
