New to me built 4.8 Race truck Valley Plate Seeping?
 

Hey guys I am super new to the LS world and need some help or suggestions! Just picked up a turbo 4.8 silverado and after driving it for the 1st time I noticed a small amount of coolant at the front of the valley plate facing towards the front of the truck. Normal spot to leak? Its very minimal but enough to alarm my ocd. I was doing some searching online and it seems like a common spot most people clean the area well and put a small dab or rtv there. I'll try and post some pictures thanks for the input guys!

are you sure that corroded steam vent isn't leaking?

Ill double check but i believe she was dry as a whistle! But that would make sense! Ill check it tonight when I get home and see it that's wet!

There's no coolant in the valley plate. Either it's that hose, or the TB, or the pump gaskets or thermostat seal is leaking, or something. Not the valley plate in any case whatsoever.

I'd suggest a thorough quarter car wash job followed by fluorescent dye in the coolant.

thanks for the input guys I gave it a good cleaning torqued the valley plate to spec and I haven't noticed anything sense all looks good. Thanks fellas!
