Well my 6l80e finally gave out, its a 2011 silverado 4x4 6.2.
Today i found a good low miled 8k, 6l80e at a local wrecking yard. its out of a 2012-2013 silverado 4x4
part number from sticker:
3CKA
24250602
STO 3016
My question is, i plan to install this tomorrow, however, i dont want to install it, and realize i cannot program it to my truck, so my question is, will this transmissions tcm program to my truck?

You could remove the TCM that is in your old transmission and install it in the new one.
Otherwise if you didn't do that you'd have to program the TCM to your computer with a dealership level scan tool I believe.

For those that find this thread via search here are my results:
Got the transmission installed, and it had no communication error, nothing. It was driveable, and no shifting problems. Im thinking of just leaving it as is, or if i should have my buddy look at it still, just in case in needs calibrating.
