need help 4l60e race trans build
 

hi everybody, I've got a 2000 x-cab with a 4l60e and i need someone with experience building high-performance/racing transmissions. I should have everything needed to do this build... I live in Oklahoma city but would be willing to go a little farther for the right deal. If interested i can send pics and post full parts list. THANKS! By the way this place is amazing! loads of info. :bang: Quick update: found one guy said he do it for 500.00 trans is out...just labor to install my parts high/low? Any thoughts?

are you looking for someone or a shop in the area to do the build? Or need help with what parts to buy? If you wanted, you could look into a performabuilt transmission and have a strong 60e

I have a patc level 4 kit with late raptor drive kit,torque master kit,5 pinion planents,special 3-4 drum & 8 clutch kit with full thickness steels, billet servos,etc. I also just got my yank sst3200 ls1 converter and hayden 30,000 gvw cooler. I need someone i can trust to put this thing together. Price is a consideration but not a roadblock. By the way i'm trying to build this truck to run in daily driver class hot rods drag week 2011 & will be putting in stroker at tax time.

I think you would be better doing a th400 conversion since its a race truck.

no reputable trans shop around you to trust or you know? I know a good one in town who will put anything together or install anything i need. Hell he did my converter install, servo, and changed filter/fluid for 400 and I'm 4wd. Im sure someone on here from OK, will have a few names for ya

hind sight is always 20/20 i already got the parts and i seem married to this case...3rd rebuild. guess if this one goes i'll upgrade

i tried a guy this weekend and he said "i've never seen parts like this before" so he's out havent heard back from any local shops yet. everybody wants stock,i dont do stock!

That sucks! Wait until some of the guys on here from OK see the thread. They will chime in

I sure hope so. This has been more problems than it should be. I have a lot left to do to this truck and everything needs to be done so that i can keep moving forward. By the way, i need upgraded posi or locker no spool... any ideas? 2011 drag week 1000 plus street miles between tracks
