Need 4l60e questions answered (Diff b/w Gen1 and Gen3)

I have a Jeep that I have a 2006 5.3 in with a Manual Trans. I'm wanting to switch to an Auto. Found a 2000 Yukon 5.7 4x4 in the Junkyard that is really clean. Now I know the trans will bolt up no problem with use of the crank spacer. Question is will the harness plug into the trans and the LSx computer control it no problem? What converter would you use?

My motor is stock right now but will get built at some point.

Basically my question is, could a 4l60e from a 2000 Yukon 4x4 which still is a 5.7 Gen1 be used in a 2006 Silverado 4x4 5.3 Gen3?
