Thanks for write up BatBoy.
Have some sacked bars here, and somewhat more than stock vehicle weight as well. ( Dual batteries, supercharger, roof rack with full size spare tire, fuel cans, extraction tools, and about 350 pounds of suspension lift kit.

Regarding the torsion bar part number list, with the XL, XK, XM, etc, etc...
Can you update that list with Torsion bar LENGTH specs , so we know which are truck, and which are Tahoe/Yukon ?
.
.
. I can confirm that 2002 Tahoe and 2003 Avalanche, 2003 Escalade, 2003 Suburban 1500, and 2004 Tahoe DO have 52" torsion bars.

... More DATA points, these are actual on the ground measurements ( not copy/paste) :

XK 52" long, 1.17" diameter
XL 52" long, 1.20" diameter
XM 52" long, 1.23" diameter Left: 15048311, Right: 15048312
.

After reading this thread I'm glad I did a body lift on my tahoe. It rides really good with bilstein 5100s and 295/70/17s.
or atleast it did till I retired it.
