Default Lowering RCLB

Hey guys, I just picked up a 2004 RCLB 4.8 5 speed. Looking to do a 2/4 drop but everything I see for the rear shackles and brackets are for Short Bed only? What is the differences between the long and short bed preventing these parts from working? Are the leaf springs completely different or mount differently? Any help is appreciated guys. Thanks.

I lower my 2WD long bed Sierra with brackets and shackles just fine. Not sure where you see that they are for short beds only.

If photobucket hasn't screwed with my pictures then I think I still have picture in an old thread of mine on here.

Yeah I'm not sure why but the ebay listings all say will not fit long bed. They are not welded in so IDK. Where did you buy yours from? I attached pics showing the listings I am talking about.

I bought DJM hangers and shackles.

There are 3 different hanger designs, so it's likely why they say that one you linked doesn't fit long beds.

Alright cool I was able to find ones that should fit. But now I think my rear axle tube may be bent so lowering my truck will have to wait... Always something lol
