Default Looking for some help with 2008 Chevy Silverado

Hello I am having issues with my 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500. It recently started making a pinion or tingling around the bellhousing flywheel area it goes and it comes back today I started it up and it started grinding and then went back to a ping and then stopped. Now it seems to be grinding all the time in neutral and in Drive. It gets quieter as you give it the gas or accelerate. Thanks for any help I appreciate it.

Remove the starter and inspect it. Inspect torque converter bolts and flexplate for damage. That is where I would start.
