I have the Belltech 647SP kit (Spindles, drop shocks, flip kit) and on a 4x4 with the Belltech Spindles you cannot flip the UCA, you have to trim the upper balljoint a little so it doesn't tear up the boot so keep this in mind if you have a 4x4.

I love my truck lowered, it's not slammed but just low enough and I find getting in and out of it is so much better. I get in friends stock or lifted trucks and I hate it, this is why I live in the City lol.

Sorry guys i guess i didn't make myself clear. I want to discuss the issues of the suspension itself, not if it's to low to put a jack or curb checking which i have done on multiple times hehe.

Hey GWEE.Have a look at Belltech's website and download their installation PDF and there might be a picture.I have a 2003 RCSB and started with spindles and hanger/shackle kit.It rode nice but was too soft on turn in and squirmed in the corners too much for my liking.I was also using Edelbrock IAS shocks. The IAS shocks were useless. No where near enough rebound dampening. They almost launched me off the road when I hit a dip going through a corner.I ended up going with a set of Tokico's.Eventually I went with the Hotchkis TVS system which is very good. There is a bump steer issue still which I will cure with the addition of spindles and a 1" spring spacer. Right now it is a 2/4 drop with springs but will end up being a 3/5.
2" spring drop plus 2" spindle will be 4",but if you use a 1" spring spacer, most of your bumpsteer will be eliminated. I needed the greater spring rate from the Hotchkis TVS system but wanted to sit just a little bit lower with more harmonious geometry. The rear leafs are de-arced 4" which really help with axle toe-in through a corner.Adding a C-notch plus a 2" hanger shackle combo with a 1" spring spacer between the leaf and axle will give you a 5" drop without doing a flip kit.Am I rambling?

Thanks
What is your spring rating? I ordered a set of 750# to go on my QA1 till i get my Vi-king coilovers and i might order a set of 850# if the 750# are to soft. For my rear im going to take out the leafs and build a bolt on tri 4-link soon.

I'm not exactly sure what the spring rate Hotchkis uses but it is a very happy medium.Won't chip your teeth and doesn't wallow like a water bed.

This is my balljoint on the UCA. I dont think i can flip them because of the McGaughry spindle like you can with the Belltech. Name: image_zps150cdf53.jpg
