Default Issue with GMT800 13" Rear Discs on GMT400

I finished up my Brakes yesterday morning on my 97 K1500 Suburban. I swapped in a 9.5" SF and used the disc package from a 2002 Suburban with the 13" rear discs. I go to put the wheels back on and they do not fit over the rotors.

I did my research and others claim to have used 16" wheels over the 13" NBS Rotors.

The difference appears to be that others are using after market wheels, and I'm using factory.

Question, does anyone have experience with this swap using 16" wheels?

I would hate to have to buy new 17" wheels and tires just to fit over the rotors?

for what it's worth, i tried trading wheels with my brother a few years ago - stock 16" aluminums from his '94 suburban & stock 16" steels from my '99 new sierra.

his rubbed on my front calipers. that said, it sounds like you'll have to swap wheels regardless... but you might try some GMT800 16"s first so you could potentially keep your tires.

I have an 02 Tahoe SSV (13" rear brakes for sure) it came with 16" steelies.

I now have an H2 9.5 back there with 16" PYOs. Its tight but clears.

16s fit, but maybe only some 16s. OEM 16s are narrow. Let us know how that MT fits.

Wheel Arrived today.

It fits with about a 1/4" clearance.

Should not be a problem.
