Chevy- I have never liked the idea of mounting them outside the frame (although they do control the wheel better in that location) but your bags appear to be fairly narrow... I guess mine are so big being meant for a much bigger truck. They mount directy between the frame and axle. They fit very well except for having to drill one in the frame to mount the upper plate to. I also had to relocate the brake line mount that bolts to he top of the axle... The bottom plates are pretty wide.

I was in lowes today and almost bought a piece of flat stock for you to bend into shape for your bracket to wrap around the blocks and bolt on, but I didnt know if you had something else in mind so I didnt. LOL

I can't complain about mine at all, they came with the truck. The guy that had it before me had a 5th wheel in it. Yes a 1500 with a 5th wheel

I'd like to get the ones you have but I didn't know how they would fit on the 1500. Once you are completely done post some pics for me if you could.

I got a fitting from the local truck accessory place. He handed me several and said "happy birthday" Since I still have the original firestone lines he gave me a fitting from a kit that a customer upgraded to an on-board compressor. He said it happens often, so he gave me the leftovers.... Sweet deal. Now I just need to find an accessible place to mount the fill valve

if they dont work, try to find a parker pneumatics store in your area, they have all kinds of fittings

also when i had air shocks on the back of my old 1500 i had the lines ran to the back license plate. Had a nut that threaded over the schrader valve and chrome valve stem caps so the just looks like chrome bolts. Easily accessible and no one knew there were airlines there.

The kits run $200 to $400+ just depending on what kit you go with.

Got them in and leak tested and aired up some to see how it rides and it basically rides like I wedged a piece of pipe between the frame and axle hahaha.... But that was with 50+psi in the bags.... Is there a rule of thumb to go by when towing with these things? Like 5000lbs=40psi, 3000lbs=30psi etc etc... I figure I'll have close to 10,000 hitched up by the time it's all said and done.

I took some pics, it will just take me forever to upload them on this slow *** Internet here at the house... There coming though
