Home built traction..

I been kickin around the idea of building a home made set of cal tracs
Question is how good do they actually work? And if anyone has any better ideas.. The cal trac style looks simple enough to duplicate but is it worth it?
Im open to other designs if yall got any suggestions
Thanks

Ya i could go buy something but ive built everything else so why stop now lol...

As far as design, Caltracs work. Helped alot when I installed em. If you have the means and equipment to build them then I say do it.

I built my bars and made them very similar to the caltracs. I think they work great, the rear end doesn't squat anymore under acceleration like it did. I would suggest to make the aluminum bushing for the front to get the full effect like I did. I am spending this year to make it hook, I really want a good 60' time, so we will soon see if they really work.

Great design and simple to build at a fraction the cost of Caltracs

A few more adjustment holes would make them perfect.

You cant go wrong with them and can be built for a fraction of the cost of CTs.

Agree, that would make them more like assassin bars.
