I'm about to swap in a 4L80e myself using the harness from PCM of NC. Did you have your tune adjusted for the new converter/stall? Sure hope I don't run into this.

When i first installed the harness and drove it around before the tune it was fine only two codes i got where the ones that pcm of nc had mention p0717 and p0700 tranny did shift a bit early but lock up was coming on i even drove it to the tune which was about 45 min away with no problems
I get there he does his thing and he adjusted everything for the stall as well
I drove around town for over 2hours or so with no problems then i get on the highway and the check engine light comes on and i feel it was going in and out of lock up
Pull my scanner and i get a p0741 and p0700 so i delete the code and pickup comes back on its only when i go over 60
That it will act up here and there i have no clue what it is at this point I'm thinking has to do with the tune
I called pcm of nc they told me seen this once before and to correct the problem that its somthibg in the tune or to shut off code p0741

So, you got it re-tuned @ PCM of NC and it still has the issue? Seems odd.

Ah...luckily, Alvin is my tuner so I'm hoping the swap doesn't give me any ***-pain. Should be going in next week. I'll let you know.

Just wondering - did your tuner adjust the shift points for the 80e as well as the stall?
