Default Help inceasing low end?

I have an 04 Z66 Avalanche with the typical bolt ons and want to improve its low end acceleration but can not afford a supercharger right now. Is changing the stock torque converter to a TT3000 a good way to improve take offs without having to spend $4000, or would I be better off not getting the converter and saving the money for a supercharger down the road?

What do you mean "once you get used to it"? I thought it had pretty good drivability.

the pedal will feel spongy at first. after it breaks in and you get used to it, wohoo.

SROACH,

Is there any reason you went with a TCI instead of a Yank? I have been looking at both and they seem very similar.

sorry to jack, but do converters with higher than factory stalls hurt gas mileage in town? I figure the mpg will staythe same highway if it's locked right?

i went tci because i got a good deal on it. would have cost alot more for the yank.
gas mileage is the same as long as i dont mash the pedal all the time.
