H2 trans replacement/build suggestions
I picked up an H2 with a slipping trans, 140k on it.
I'm debating on what trans to go with, as I doubt I'll see the day I put 100k on this thing.
I'm looking at an FLT heavy duty 65e with a circle d 2600 converter, for about $2800
or just go with a stock gm reman for $1800, and add a vette servo.
I will be adding a tru cool 40k to help keep temps in check on either trans.
I have a diesel pickup for heavier towing but this thing will see mild towing and 37" tires. And id like to do it right the first time and save myself some room to add power incase of a cam or other mild performance.
