I have the largest adjustable wrench my local ace hardware has and it’s maybe an 1/8in to small. I actually considered grinding the jaws of it down a bit just to make it fit but that’s to ghetto for me.

I love those Kryptonite tie rods. I run them as well and yes I needed to buy the big $25 adjustable wrench to tighten them lol.

As far as stability, I ditched the torsion bars and did coilovers with Atomic’s brackets. Replaced all bushings with urethane ones. Replaced all ball joints with Moog along with the pimman, idler and support. The ride, handling and steering is a world of difference. I have pushed it too hard yet in the corners but in short normal speed turns, it feels 10 times better. Worth all of the work.

Well you see harbour freight is the opposite direction of Summit racing and there's a Northern Tool next to Summit. Which I had to go to for Single turbo RX7 parts. Plus adjustible wrenches are ghetto. Plus now I have an ever so useful 2in wrench that doubles as a pry bar and hammer!

Also SDjeff when you did your pitman arm did the Moog arm fully seat and cover all the splines on the steering box? I torqued mine to 200ftlbs and then some and it just doesn't look as seated as it was before.

No it did not cover all the splines. I slightly over torqued as well.

Oh good, I’ve checked the torque on it a couple times now just to make sure it’s not sliding down or anything. Just looks sketchy.

Last time I replaced the steering box or pitman arm I was deadlifting in the 600lb range. I put a 2ft wrench on that thing and pulled with everything I had and it still didnt go up as far as I thought it should

Correct. The arm doesn't seat over all of the splices. Measure it and you will see its physically impossible. I don't know why GM wasted the time machining part of the shaft that doesn't get used.

Also won't screw with Atomic. He can dead lift my truck. Damn buddy!

I did the same thing with my Pittman arm nut, hit it with the big daddy crescent at the top of the drawer

I had those kryptonite tie rods on my duramax and also had to go buy a huge wrench to tighten them down, since I don't think my crescent would fit in the space provided
