Are you planning to run it in 2wd or 4wd? They want pretty different things. Either way a good set of double adjustable shocks and adjustable traction bars will go a long way. A vendor here, Atomic Performance, sells a bolt on coilover kit and can get you hooked up with Viking shocks.

I picked up my double adjustable shocks from AFP. Great prices and fast shipping! Plus the owner is a standout out guy. He also sells brackets for relocating your shocks from a staggered position to “same side mounting”. I would look into getting a set of those as well to make the most out of the shock upgrade. As far as adjustable traction bars go, I run assassin bars. I prefer them over the cal-trac style of traction devices. Both work well, just depends on how much adjustability you need/wish to have

and the weight goes up. but still not to bad
for an ext cab truck.

I been running cal-tracs for years but noticed a huge difference when I had my rear shocks relocated and ran adjustable shocks

Was the difference on the strip or in street duty? Like 60' time or ride quality?
