Eaton TruTrac and Axle Rebuild, what gears ratio
I'm getting ready to drop some coin for a complete axle rebuild and a TruTrac install (got quoted 1400...good or bad?). Its a 2003 rcsb, 4.8, 2wd, with a 4/6 drop. I'm not sure if what gears are in it currently, but ill find out when i get home tomorrow. Its just a street truck and I plan on turboing it soon and going to a 29" tire. I was just wondering what gear ratio you guys would suggest. Turbos love high load so I didn't know if you would advise dropping from 3.73 to a 3.42, or 4.10 to a 3.73 for example. Thanks for the input, will update what gear ratio i currently have tomorrow.

I guess you probably need a little more information on the endstate. I'd like to be able to drive it around town and on the highway generally out of boost to try and keep some kind of decent mpg. The plan is to run about 10-12 psi, so possibly around 500hp. Hopefully that helps a little.
