Downshift problems

After the motor/tranny/converter swap, and getting everything plugged in :jest: Everything runs as good as can be expected with the factory PCM,except for the down shift. It won't downshift automatically. Is it the tune, or did I put a check ball in the wrong spot when I did the shift kit? Thanks

When you say tranny swap, did you swap types of trannys? Like from a 60e to an 80e?

No, its another 60

After my converter swap, my downshifts changed also. If I am close to the wot shift point when I floor it, it will not downshift. For example 1-2 shift is around 45 mph, if I am running above 35 mph or so, it willl not downshift. I think it is in part to the fact that the convereter is flashing in the higher gear so the pcm will see that the rpms for that gear are to high to downshift. 2600 rpms in 2nd = 42 mph in pcm.
I could be completely wrong about the reason.

But from reading your post it sounds like it doesn't downshift at all.

I was kind of figuring that, but I cant get it to downshift at all automatically.
