Default 4x4 guys... need some help

well looks like i have been doing to many hard launches..... the front end is going out... question is, what do you guys use to beef up the front end...

well their is a lot of play in it... so I'm guessing its the carrier

Never seen a problem, I launch in 4hi all the time. Replace with OEM parts IMO, I think it's probably not related to your hard launches.

well it just doesn't feel right..... but i haven't really checked the front before... could it be that the stock front ends just have some play in them

I have done a lot of launches/burnouts too and I havent seen a problem yet. If it does go out I too say replace with factory parts. Might be a good opportunity to go 4.10's too..

see that just pisses me off.... i just put in a bran new ring and pinon in the rear... i suppose ring and pinon wasnt that much tho

Describe the problem exactly.....is the truck just hopping from side to side? If so, that's normal, I think it's sort of like torque steer.....

no more like some slack in the gear.... no alot.... i dont think its in danger of blowing apart just yet

have you inspected the front driveshaft? maybe the u-joints are going? I really don't see the gears doing that....
