I've used the beast for several years but have seriously considered trying out the GM shell. Haven't heard many people making real power using the sonnax shell. I do like the fact that the GM shell is balanced.

oh, disregard my other comment i made before. I asked about what was built in your trans but i just read it in this thread. SW gear is a great shop however, im sure they will hook u up good. Ask bob for pics of the beast, i want to see it as well cause that sure is interesting. I have always heard that they were strong pieces....hence the name.

I had the exact same thing happen I went to pass someone mashed the gas and boom lost second and forth when I rebuilt it my beast split at the thermoweld right by the spline and my tranny is a FLT 4L65 lvl 5 and a lq-9 with the whole list of bolt ons . Every builder I spoke to said the same thing that they never seen it happen before. So I geuss we both have shitty luck

Why do you think it will be so hard to mount your Tcase to an 80E?? Just a simple Tcase input shaft swap.

Sounds like maybe a valve body bolt got put in the wrong spot...

As long as I can remember the Beast shell has been made in Taiwan. Decent piece.

Bob is very awesome and kept his word on the warranty of the transmission. When I pick up the truck on monday I will grab some pics of it for ya.
