Core short-throw shifter review

Hey fellas, wanted to give you all some honest feedback on a Core brand short-throw shifter I just purchased (eBay) and installed on my 02 Silverado 5.3 w/NV3500.

First off, the price was reasonable at around $250 for the shift mechanism and Hurst shifter, and it arrived at my door 4 days after ordering. The installation was a breeze, due to the fact that my stock foam rubber boot was already cut and easy to remove.Followed the directions and was done within 15 mins. The kit includes a small adapter disk that connects the chrome Hurst shifter to the stock boot, and I was impressed with the fit and finish... looks pretty bad ass with the chrome stick and black Hurst shift-knob!

The shifter kit does decrease the distance needed for catching gears, and it all but eliminates the sloppiness that the stock shifter had. Gear changes are nice and tight, and the stick is curved just enough from the stock location that you can shift without your forearm leaving the console. The only downfall to the kit is that it's a bit noisy. I plan to pack some foam rubber around the shift mechanism to tone it down a little.
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

I'll try to get some pics and a video up in the next couple of days.

How is the 2-3 shift? Mine has the RSR shifter and its better than stock but just not as tight as id like. There just not a lot of options for these trannys other than pull em and start over with t-56:disgust:
