Circle D converter doesn't fit TCI flexplate

I got a Circle D 4L80E multi-disk 258mm converter and asked for it to be made with a 4L60E front. It has three mounting pads on a ~11 1/8" bolt circle.

I also got a TCI flexplate which is supposed to be for an LS motor with a 4L60E trans. This flexplate has six mounting pads at ~10 7/8" bolt circle.

So which one is incorrect?

:bang:

My TCI Flexplate had six mount pads just like yours, however 3 were one pattern and the other 3 were a different pattern.

Will it line up to your stock plate?

Yup, just checked and there are two bolt patterns. One of them lines up with the converter! Thanks phump

Good to hear.

Glad you guys got it figured out..... And the converter has the LS pilot as well. So you will not need the crank extender.

Thanks Chris!

So the bolts you provided are about the same length as those that came with the flexplate. They only stick through the flexplate about 3/8", but the holes in the converter look to be about 1" deep. Should I get longer bolts for more grab?

By crank extender do you mean the spacer that everyone talks about when doing 80E swaps using an 80E flexplate/converter? I figure I wouldn't need that. But this flexplate does appear to have an 1/8" thick spacer bolted to the flexplate. Does this stay?

Bolts you have are 20mm in length. With the spacers TCI welds to their flexplate, you can actually use a 24mm bolt. I can send you some, let me know. And the plate they have bolted in needs to be there for proper spacing. The extender I am referring to is the sleeve, it is used if you had a standard GM converter.

This is the sleeve, do not use it.

Sure I'll take some if you have any to spare, thanks! Kinda looks like 30mm might almost work as well, especially if the spacer washers are needed.

There was a note with the flexplate that said to only use that adapter with non-LS1 transmissions. Thank you for the confirmation.

This converter is beautiful. Definitely a work of art! :pimp:
