Camber with McGaughy Spindles
I went to get my truck aligned the other day and requested to have the camber set to 0 degrees camber up to .5 degrees of negative camber because the tires keep wearing on the outside. I have a 2" Mcgaughy drop spindle and the tech that aligned the front end said the best he could do was about 2.5 degrees positive on the pasenger side and the drivers side would adjust in to about .60 positive. Is there anykind of camber kits for our trucks? I always thought when you lowered a vehicle the camber went negative not positive.

It should have went negative right after the install.
For the most part, it should be pretty difficult to achieve positive camber due to the upper control arms having to reach more upward causing the spindle to be pulled inward at the top.
Not sure what this alignment tech is exactly talking about, but it seems like he's reading the numbers backwards or your spindles are placed upside down (J/K).
I don't know what else to say.
Hope you figure it out because positive camber gives no handling characteristics.

Yea thats what I thought too. The camber should have moved towards negative with the spindles. I have 305/40/20s on the front and you can physicaly see the positive camber along with it wearing the tires on the outside. I'm wondering if the spindles are built to counteract the negative tendancies. I know I have read on here before that people were not that happy with McGauphys parts at times. This might be a design flaw.
