AWD 4L80E swap to a 2WD 4L80E???
Well iv been looking for options on going from awd to 2wd and since my ltz suburban has the 4l80e i figured its best to stick with the same model...
My only question is with the computer will it throw codes or will I have to get it re programed or flashed? And if so any advice or where or who can do the computer?? Thanks guys I'm just trying to get some info before I go tearing into this Blake |
Is it awd or 4x4? What year and transfer case?
|
Its a 2006 suburban LTZ 6.0l that's all I know and that it has the 4l80e in it...
Any help would be great before I rip apart my truck and waste over $1k on a transmission |
Ill be getting a custom drive shaft made so that's not a major concern I'm mainly worried about the computer
|
Do you have a switch that switches 2wd to 4wd or a lever?
|
Its awd all the time, standard in ltz models the only thing similar to what your saying is just my traction control button on the dash to the right of the radio
|
Hmm im not sure about those systems. Ill let someone else chime in.
|
You may need to have the ECU re flashed for a 2WD model.
Some of the Parameters and shift logic may be a little different. Does that have RPO option NR3??? Would be listed in the glove box. |
Do you know who could do the computer for me?? And I'm not sure but ill find out I'm at work roght now ill try to go out and look
