Default Assassin Traction Bars instal on 08+

well sold the cal tracs and switched to the Smith Racecraft assassin bars...

this is on my 08' Silverado with flip kit....

not so much of a simple bolt on,had to cut the middle leaf and mill the u bolt plates but they worked and i thought id share for you gmt900 guys that might think about buying a set for yourself.

this right heres shows as you can see there is no room for the leaf u bolt plate kit to bolt up on since middle leaf is in the way

tried to bolt up u bolt plate and did not work out right,here u can see where it needs to be milled open more.the center hole for leaf spring nut is way off.

well not what i expected ..spent 60 bucks at machine shop to mill the plates....but at the end they worked lol

Niceeee....Why dis u remove the calverts caltracs? No good? Lol

what were your previous issues that you went with these? looks good despite the work needed. those bars are just so sexy compared to the caltracs

they did work great,but only cause i sold them to a buddy who needed em bad.

no issues at all with the cal tracs,i just like the fact that these have multiple adjustments.yea they are really nice all stainless steel brackets

have you gotten a chance to try these out yet? i ordered a set of them, should be here tomorrow. im wondering if ill have the same problems as you on the rear bracket.

Yes they helped my truck take off hard i can feel it lunge like squat forward also took care of wheel hop

Looks good I imagine the ones for non-flip trucks are prob easier to install. Anyone have any pics of a nnbs truck with these that doesn't have the rear flipped? Interested in getting some for my truck.
