anyone using a extra deep tranny pan?

Default anyone using a extra deep tranny pan?

iwhen i rebuilt my tranny i put a huge cooler on it this time, but i was looking in summit and saw that hughes offers a extra deep pan for our trannys, along with B&M, for like an extra 3 quarts, anyone using these?

i think moregrip bought one. don't know if he ever installed it. just like the rest of his pile of parts.

i had bought a B&M and realize i couldnt use it cause of the crossover pipe of the exhaust. also with the deep pan it really wasnt much of a difference over the stock one.

also the 4L60 pan is the same as a 700R4 pan

I had one on the 60e and now have one on the 80e. You can put a jack under them without the pan crushing in - handy! If you don't have a drain plug now it will be a feature you'll come to love...

I used the Hughes unit, however if your worried about clearance issues I believe PML sells some deep, but clearanced, oil pans.

no LT's, well not yet atleast, but im definately gonna do the pan. aint nuthin wrong with some extra coolin on the tranny, lol.
