Has anyone bought and installed a level 4 or 5 parts kit from FLt.

Can the kit be installed by compitent local trans shop.
Any special machining involved.
Do the kits come with instructions.

Chuck doesnt currently sell "kits" that are the same as the level 4 and 5 transmissions. The parts are only 1/2 the equation in a good transmission proper assemble is the other half. You may want to call and talk to Chuck or email him and he can better explain it to you.

I would say your best option would be to buy a tranny from chuck and then you don't have to worry about it any more...thats what I did, after 1 stock and 3 built ones.

that's seems like the way to go, but will take 2 weeks to build and ship to me.
i'm driving a rental now so it's just more cubic dollars.
might as well do it right the first time, i'll probably give them an order tomorrow.
Curt, you have a level 5 or 4l80.
Chuck has told me a level 4 is adequate for me. how he's right

Actually watch what what you say because BigKid isn't running one of our units as just confirmed from a PM. However I do agree that nothing is bullet proof.
