Also there is a search in the option bar above...use it...there are 10-15 people with t56s in their trucks.

They come with the nv3500 and they a very reliable for daily driving. I had one in my 2000 and towed with it often and drove it hard. I took it out to swap for a M12 T56 for performance reasons and after 175k miles; the 5 speed started to get tired. Hirdlej has a 5 speed with a 6.0 without a problem.

Yup, I'm running mine behind a cammed 6.0L It hasn't hiccuped once now after over a year of the 6.0L. Clutch holds great, trans has no slop, everything works as it should. Only gripe I have is the slow 2-3 gear shift. Other than that it's fun Don't listen to all the internet warriors/parrots telling you it's a weak trans. Mine has held up to 400 RWTQ with repeated abuse and 380RWHP.

Yup, I'm starting to have more confidence in mine despite all the storied "woes" of the NV3500. It's had a synchro noise, noisy TOB, and whining input shaft bearing for a while now, but it still takes everything I toss at it with my 4.8 and aggressive shifting. Sure it shifts slow, but hell it's still a truck tranny, and it'll hold until I find the time/money for a T56 swap for the better ratios, better internals, and double over-drive.

I just recently had my 3rd nv3500 completely crap out on me. The first 2 went with my 6.0, cam and LT headers. This recent one went with my PT-88/408 combo, which was totally expected. Luckily I have a built T-56 from Tick Performance sitting here waiting to go in. Its about that time!!

Just be sure to ask them if they are going to include a bellhousing and a shifter with yours. They did not include either with mine. I was kinda surprised and a bit disappointed considering what I spent with them.
