I have a semi built 700r4 behind my cammed 6.0 in my 85 4x4 burb. I am thinking about putting a 60 or 80 in. My current trans is ok but something slips in 4th after about 1/3 throttle. Pretty sure it's the converter but I am not sure. I really want a electronically controlled trans anyways. My question is what will I need to bolt my 208 transfer case to a 4l80e? I am pretty sure it will bolt directly up to a 60 but not sure if a 4l60e is any better then a 700r4. My motor is around 425 hp at flywheel. I looked over the FAQ but didn't see anything about a older transfercase. Thanks!
