4wd LCA's The Same As 2wd LCA's?
ive searched, and spent a ton of time reading lots of threads, but havent been able to find an answer to this specific question.
i just bought a '99 RCSB 4X4. i really dont need the 4WD but the price was right, and V8 RCSB's are ******* impossible to find. so i had to take the 4X4 **** with the deal.
anyway, i want to ditch all the 4X4 stuff, add some 3" drop LCA'a, and coil overs on the front, all in one shot. DJM lists 4X4 LCA's for '01 up trucks, but no differentiation on year models prior to '01. does that mean they are the same as 2WD LCA's from those years? i want to ditch the torsion bars too, hence the want for coilovers.
thanks in advance!

Not sure about the '01 and up part but the 99-00 LCA's are not the same as 2wd for those years. The 2wd have a coil spring pocket and the 4wd have the hex for the torsion bar.

ok, seriously...
i dont care about anything related to springs, coil springs, torsion bars or any of that. i just want to know if the control arms bolt on in the same location on both trucks. period.

I asked the same questions of well-known manufacturer and a few other places when I converted to 2wd. The most general response was: "I don't know." One of the engineers said no, the other said maybe. Then the salesman said "Buy one, try it, and let us know."
So I kept the damn stock LCA and change the knuckle and torsion bar key.

I am not 100% positive but I think the 2wd arms will bolt to the frame but that the 4wd arms are a bit longer (for increased track width). This would probably require swapping the upper arms also to match the caster and camber.
