Did mine with the gussets 1 1/2 years ago. It seems to be holding up just fine and IMO, much easier than the notch technique.

Yeah, even if you have to drop the crossmember to drop the pan, no big deal like ak said.

Heck yeah it looks good! After reading this thread this is totally what I'm going to do. I was thinking I would have to cut and extend my crossmember. Since I'm 4wd, I guess I don't have to.

I know this is an older thread but I have a quick question.

Will a 4l80e crossmember out of a 2500 fit a 1500 when doing the swap? And also visa-versa the 60e crossmember fit in the 2500? (Doing a drivetrain swap between a 1500 and 2500)

i did mine by chopping and moving out, but then i had to notch a spot in it cause my tcase motor was hitting it



i made 2 6 3/4 plates to extend mine out
