4l80e dual feed
Does anybody offer a 4l80e internal dual feed kit with the necessary gaskets, plug, seals that need to be replaced? Would I be better off buyin an hd2 and ommiting some of the parts? Id rather do the internal dual feed mod since I have a used trans and id like to take a look at the direct clutches anyway.

Awesome i'll tear in to it and make sure the clutches are in good shape then shoot them a call. Thanks man.

I don't recal any special gaskets, plug a hole, leave out a couple seals. I forget exactly, it's been awhile.

Is there a way to dual feed the directs without plugging that feed hole in the case? I was told by a local builder that the plug wasn't necessary...it told him it would cause a leak and he laughed at me. Trans lasted about 2 weeks and burnt the directs and intermediates.

Small modication i made was smothing out where that gasket goes to help with flow

I know some builders like to do that mod. I avoid it but I'm posting to stir up the technical thinking and stop the monkey see/monkey do reason for mods. |
